DETROIT LAKES, MN (KFGO) – A St. Paul man faces drug and DWI charges after a traffic stop near Detroit Lakes where he told a state trooper that he was speeding because he had to go to the bathroom.
30-year-old Daniel Nunez is in the Becker County Jail.He was pulled over on Hwy. 59. The trooper says Nunez was fidgety and he spotted a clear baggie that contained a white powder. A search of the car uncovered more baggies that tested positive for meth.

AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio -- A man and woman from Ohio are charged with obstructing justice after township police surrounded a home early Monday. Austintown police say they spotted a Chevy Malibu with the engine running in the middle of First Street at around 4 am.
According to the police report, when officers tried to pull the car over, it pulled into a driveway at a high turned into a driveway on First Street at a high rate of speed. The driver bolted out of the car an into a house, according to police. Once inside the home, officers found 23-year-old Logan Daugherty who told them that he bailed out of the car because he had to go to the bathroom.

The winter road conditions did little to deter a man allegedly caught speeding on the Trans-Canada Highway Thursday night.
RCMP posted online the 26-year-old driver was clocked going 161 km/h west of Brandon. The speed limit in the area is 110 km/h.
According to police, after the driver was pulled over he told officers he was speeding because “he had to go to the bathroom.”

A Madison man caught going more than twice the legal speed limit on the Beltline early Saturday morning told the deputy he was speeding because he had to go to the bathroom. Daniel Zong, 24, was clocked at 119 mph on the 55 mph speed limit Beltline, stopped at about 12:55 a.m. by a Dane County Sheriff's deputy in the northbound lanes near Old Sauk Road.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a man who was caught driving 48 mph over the speed limit had a unique excuse for his crime: he said he had to go to the bathroom. According to an arrest report, 19-year-old Christopher P. Fritsch was clocked driving 93 mph in a 45 mph zone on Dixie Hwy. shortly before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say he was driving at "an extremely high rate," that he was "weaving" and was, "very reckless to other motorists." When an officer stopped Fritsch, he allegedly told the officer that he, "had to urinate, which was why he was going fast."
"However, for the three miles officer was tailing, subject passed five open businesses that would gladly have allowed him to use the restroom," police say.
