That he had to pee that bad and she apparently didn't suggests that she may have used a rest room while they were out, but he either didn't bother or manfully chose to hold it until they got home. I wonder if this happens often.

John Mayer purposely drank a lot of water and coffee, but I'd like to think it was not to have a reason to take a break from the interview. Perhaps he enjoyed holding it. If it really was only 0.4 liters, he must have a relatively small bladder!
