He is wearing a spiderman bodysuit with a harness on top, which must be hooked to the safety rope at all times until he finishes the high ropes adventure course. Typically the obstacles in the course must be completed sequentially with no overtaking allowed, and many of these obstacles must be cleared one person at a time, so queues form with potentially a lot of delays. So he is stuck in the middle of the course with zero possibility of whipping it out even if he wants to, so the only option is to do it in his skintight suit!
