Airplane Incident

I’ve posted the link rather than the story as the article shows a photo of ‘Tim’. It helps visualise the incident!

Thanks for sharing that find with us, Lee.

What I find especially intriguing is the last sentence:
"Make sure to use the bathroom before boarding – or make sure your travel outfit features very dark trousers."
Sounds like the author has had some sightings while travelling, doesn’t it? That sentence provides a lot of room for imagination, not only about 'Tim' but also about other passengers in similar situations

Another press report seemingly suggests that Tim was certainly on the verge of having an accident in his trousers in his seat!

Definitely interesting. I can’t help thinking about what would have happened if he’d actually wet himself sitting there. Just imagine him sitting there in soaking wet trousers, all eyes on him and no chance to escape the situation. Or what would have happened if they hadn’t allowed him to use the toilet in the end, the police had escorted him out and just then he wouldn’t have been able to hold it any longer.

Definitely thought-provoking!!

If he HAD wet himself, everyone would have seen or heard him making a fuss and pleading to be allowed to go to the toilet. That would have been horribly embarrassing.

I agree that it would have been be far more disrupting if he had wet himself during the flight. While I understand that all passengers must be seated and buckled during takeoff, the request was made before they left the ground. Most of us are familiar with how rapidly the urgency increases after drinking beer, and "I can hold it until we're at cruising altitude" becomes, "I'm about to wet my pants".

Poor Tim!
I hate asking to use the toilet so I think if I was refused the first time I would have been too embarrassed to ask again.
And to be offered the option of using the toilet and having the plane turn around so I have to be taken off or wet my pants, neither of those are great options! I’m sure I’d probably sit back down, even knowing what could very well happen. I don’t like conflict or dealing with police.
How many people have been in this predicament before? I wonder are wet pants something that happens on planes from time to time?
