My best, which I've already described elsewhere and inspired the story "Airport Security Check", was in a queue for the security check at London's Heathrow airport. My partner and I were changing flights there and encountered an enormous queue for the security check which took about half an hour to get through. While we were queueing I was aware of a group of young guys behind me but took no notice of them until, when we were finally almost at the front of the queue, I suddenly had good cause to turn round and look at them! One of the males suddenly blurted out to his friends that he was desperate to pee and couldn't hold it! I turned round, and this guy was walking about on the spot with a really worried look on his face. His friends said nothing. And at that point we finally went through the security check and I don't know what happened next. But he was clearly in the last stages of desperation!

Had a few sightings on planes in my time too...

I saw a guy in his early twenties a few years back in Barcelona with his gf, I heard him tell her he really needed to pee while in duty free and she said she would only be a minute. I observed this guy for some time in his white shorts, grabbing himself every now and then. Best bit was when they were in the queue for the checkout, he actually pinching himself instead of grabbing. I heard him say that he was really close to wetting himself and that he would be right back. She laughed and said ok. Like the perv I am, I followed him to the male toilets, just before he went in him pinched again and I heard him say 'f*ck' I saw him go inside and waited outside, poor guy must have only just made it as he did have a little wet bit on his crotch that I could see.

Well, I hope it doesn't hijack Dazza88's thread (which is about airports) if I mention one of them for now.

Short flight back from Berlin to Amsterdam about 20 years ago, would have been about an hour's flying time I guess. I had an aisle seat and was on my own in the row until just moments before push-back when a young American guy, maybe about 25 years old, was allowed onto the plane at the last moment and took the seat next to me by the window. I assume he had just changed flights with the previous flight delayed and had only just caught his connection.

He was wearing smart casual clothes, a shirt and a neat pair of light blue jeans.

He seemed edgy and nervous as we took off but at the time I thought it was just fear of flying or something. But then he crossed his legs in the cramped seat and I guessed then that the nervousness was caused by a more physical situation. Well, naughty as I am, I pretended to sleep but watched him through half-closed eyes. (Sorry, I know, not cool...) I kept expecting him to go and use the plane's toilet, but he just sat there fidgeting for a long time giving me quite something to watch.

Then, finally, he undid his seatbelt. I sensed him looking at me. And I did have the decency then to open my eyes and look back. He looked really nervous about having to disturb me as he asked me: "Do you mind if I go to the bathroom?"

Well, instead of replying "Yes, actually I do mind", I smiled and got up to let him out. There are limits to my nastiness, thankfully!

He got out and headed for the back of the plane. He had this hugely relieved smile on his face when he returned.

The thing is, while he was gone the fasten-seatbelt sign came on as we were preparing to land in Amsterdam. He had almost left it too late. Another minute or two and he could have found himself stuck in his seat for a further 20-25 minutes, desperate to pee, until he was able to get off the plane!

Brian:
When one asks, "Do you mind...?" there is always the danger that the person being asked will say "Yes, I do mind. Hold it!" But you're too nice for that. ;-) It seems he was contemplating holding it until Amsterdam and then decided that he couldn't hold it that long. And just in time!

I was on a budget flight within the EU this past weekend (to a holiday destination). The flight attendants announced that due to Covid, anyone needing to use the bathroom would need to ring for a flight attendant, wait until the coast was clear, and then be escorted to the WC. It was a short flight but it awoke my imagination...I bet there are men out there who would hesitate to ask a pretty young woman to escort them to the WC and who would try to hold on at any cost.

I suppose that prevented a queue with people standing too close to each other or to seated passengers near the toilets. Yes, on a short flight I'd hold it. But so often there are one or two fellows who waited for their plane in the airport bar, and even if they peed before heading for the gate their kidneys are still working. Holding a bladderful of beer ain't easy.

This must make sure that only those who are really desperate, and therefore have no choice but to overcome the natural reticence about having to be escorted, actually use the toilets. As Fred says, that will be the guys who propped up the bar back at the airport.

What an interesting scenario!
